The word frankincense is derived from the Old French franc encens, meaning “pure incense” and it’s an aromatic gum resin obtained from an African tree (Boswellia papyrifera). It is a milky white exudation consisting of 3–8%volatile oil, 60–70% alcohol-soluble resin and 27–35% water soluble gum, which soon hardens on exposure to the atmosphere.

The use of frankincense has a long history in human civilization. The natural oil content and pleasant smell of frankincense made it desirable to burn as an incense in temple rituals and to use as a base for perfumes and for medicinal purposes since ancient times.

USES OF FRANKINCENSE:

1/ Burning incense:

Incense has been associated with religious ceremonies all over the world since time immemorial.

2/ Perfume industry:

Frankincense was used in cosmetics in the ancient world as a fixative in perfumes. Essential oils are obtained from the crude resin by steam distillation and are then normally used directly for flavoring and fragrance.

3/ Medicinal uses:

It has anti-bacterial properties as well as blood-moving uses. It can be used topically or orally, also used in surgical and internal medicine of traditional Chinese medicine. It is used to relieve pain, remove blood stasis, promote blood circulation, and treat deafness, stroke, and locked jaw.

4/ essential oils:

The Frankincense essential oil is produced by steam distillation of the tree resin.

5/ Other industrial and household uses:

Frankincense is also used in the fabrication of varnishes, adhesives, fumigation powders, dye manufacturing. It is used as a flavoring in bakeries and other food industries that produces milk products and soft drinks. The distinctive flavor of frankincense also makes it valuable for chewing gum industries.

Order terms:

– The price is 2400 USD per ton.
– Minimum order is 6 tons.
– We accept T/T payment with 30% advance payment and 70% against the shipping documents.
– We accept L/C payment for order that values +100,000 USD.
– An agreement contract will be signed and authorized as a part of the export procedure.

– For orders less than 6 tons, shipping will be EXW instead of FOB.
